Diwali - Say NO to Fire Crackers Why are firecrackers harmful?? Burning firecrackers plays a major role in creating air pollution.  Fire Crackers not only produce noise but also pollute the air, which leads to respiratory problems.  People with breathing diseases are prone to such problems, as their immune system is easily targeted. Inhaling the fumes emitted by firecrackers adversely affects people's health.
