What is Physical Activity?

Physical activity is when we move our bodies to have fun and stay healthy.


Why is Physical Activity Important?

Physical activity helps us:

1. Stay healthy: 

Moving our bodies helps keep us strong and healthy.


2. Feel happy: 

Exercise makes us feel happy and energized.


3. Play with friends: 

Physical activity is a fun way to play with friends.



Types of Physical Activity:

1. Running: 

We can run around the playground or park.


2. Dancing: 

We can dance to our favorite music.

3. Jumping: 

We can jump up and down or jump rope.


4. Climbing: 

We can climb on the jungle gym or climb stairs.

How Can We Stay Active?

1. Play outside: 

Go outside and play with friends.


2. Take a walk: 

Walk with family or friends around the neighborhood.


3. Dance at home: 

Put on music and dance at home.



4. Ride a bike: 

Ride a bike or scooter in a safe area.

Here's a story about Physical Activity & Exercise for kindergarten:

Benny's Fun Run

Benny the bear loved to play outside. One sunny day, Benny's teacher, Mrs. Bear, said, "Today, we're going to have a fun run!"


Benny was so excited! He put on his running shoes and joined his friends at the starting line.


"Ready, set, go!" shouted Mrs. Bear.


Benny ran as fast as he could, feeling the wind in his fur and the sun on his face.


As he ran, Benny saw his friends playing tag, jumping rope, and climbing on the jungle gym.


After the fun run, Benny and his friends had a big smile on their faces.


"We did it!" shouted Benny.


Mrs. Bear said, "I'm so proud of all of you! Exercise is fun and helps keep our bodies strong and healthy."
