Materials:
- None required, just fingers!
Procedure:
1. Introduction:
Introduce the nursery rhyme "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and ask the children if they know the song.
2. Demonstrate:
Demonstrate the finger play actions for the children:
- "Itsy Bitsy Spider" - hold up thumb and index finger
- "Climbed up the water spout" - move fingers up an imaginary spout
- "Down came the rain" - wiggle fingers to simulate rain
- "And washed the spider out" - sweep fingers to simulate washing away
- "Out came the sun" - make a big circle with arms to simulate the sun
- "And dried up all the rain" - wiggle fingers again to simulate drying
