Homework is an opportunity to reinforce learning & build confidence.
The more you learn, the more you earn.
Parents usually struggle to make their children do the homework that is given by the school.
For this reason, we enroll children in tuition classes from a very early age.
There is no harm in sending children to tuition, but sending them from a very early age (kindergarten) is not recommended because -
The children may get -
1. Overburdened
2. Limited play time
3. Dependent on tuition

Supporting Your Child:
- Create a conducive environment.
- Designate a quiet, organized workspace.
- Establish a routine.
- Set regular homework times.
- Encourage independence.
- Allow your child to take ownership.
- Be available:
- Offer guidance, support when needed.
- Do not do homework for them.
But if you remain consistent & start with small durations, you will be able to establish a wonderful homework routine.
Parents' patience, consistency & positive approach will definitely work,
Do not give up.
Communication:
- Stay informed:
- Regularly check homework/assignments that come from school.
- As soon as the child comes from school, do not ask about classwork/homework.
- Let the child settle down.
- Make the child feel welcomed & relaxed.
- Talk about what he/she enjoyed in school (brunch, play, friends, etc).
- This technique will relax the child.
- Talk about classwork/homework only when the child is open.
- Running behind & continuously asking about school classwork/homework will not help.
Additional Tips:
- Break tasks into smaller parts.
- Do not expect the child to do more at one time.
- Gradually increase the task.
- Encourage breaks: Prevent burnout.
- Celebrate progress: Acknowledge achievements
- Avoid doing homework: Let your child learn.
- Provide guidance: Offer support without doing the work.
Praise efforts & Focus on the progress.
