Uttrayan Special.......

This, the Sun crosses the equator on this day.
It is the harvest season for the farmers.
Why do we fly kites on Uttrayan?????
The logical reason to fly kites is that people would be exposed to the sun's rays, which are considered beneficial for the skin & helps in infection-related diseases of the skin.
Gujarat hosts an International kite-flying festival every year.
Since 1989, the city of Ahmedabad has hosted the International Kite Festival as part of the official celebration of Uttarayan.
Master kite makers and flyers from all over the world come to demonstrate their unique creations.
