What is Honesty?

STORY
Benny's Broken Cookie Jar
Benny loved cookies, and his mom had just baked a fresh batch. While Benny was getting a cookie, he accidentally knocked over the cookie jar, breaking it into pieces.
Benny was afraid to tell his mom what happened, so he tried to clean up the mess without saying anything.
But Benny's mom saw the broken jar and asked Benny, "Benny, did you break the cookie jar?"
At first, Benny didn't want to tell the truth. But then he remembered what his mom had told him about honesty.
Benny took a deep breath and said, "Yes, Mommy, I broke the cookie jar. I'm sorry."
Benny's mom smiled and said, "It's okay, Benny. We can always clean up and get a new jar. But I'm proud of you for telling the truth."
