What is Self-Care?
Self-care is when we take care of our bodies, minds, and feelings. It's like giving ourselves a big hug!
Why is Self-Care Important?
Just like how we wash our hands to keep them clean, we can do things to keep our bodies and minds happy and healthy.
Things We Can Do for Self-Care
1. Eat yummy fruits and veggies to make our bodies strong.
2. Play outside to get fresh air and exercise.
3. Hug our friends and family to show love and kindness.
4. Take deep breaths to calm down when we're feeling sad or mad.
5. Get enough sleep to help our bodies rest and feel happy.
Let's Practice Self-Care!
We can do self-care every day, even in small ways. Let's make self-care a part of our daily routine!

Here's a story for kindergarten students about Self-care:
Benny's Self-Care Day
Benny the Bear woke up feeling happy and bright. "Today is going to be a great day!" he exclaimed.
Benny started his day by eating a healthy breakfast. He munched on some delicious berries and honey. "Yum! This is so tasty!" he said.
Next, Benny went outside to play. He ran around in the sunshine, feeling the warm breeze on his fur. "Wheeee! This is so much fun!" he laughed.
But then, Benny started to feel a little sad. He missed his friend, Emma, who was sick at home. Benny took a deep breath and said, "I'm feeling sad right now, but I can do something to feel better."
Benny went to his cozy little cave and practiced some yoga poses. He stretched his arms up high and bent down to touch his toes. "Ah, that feels better!" he sighed.
Next, Benny decided to create something special. He painted a beautiful picture of Emma and him playing together. "I'll give this to Emma when she's feeling better," he thought.
Benny felt happy and proud of himself. He realized that taking care of himself made him feel strong and happy. "Self-care is like giving myself a big hug!" he exclaimed.
From that day on, Benny made sure to take care of himself every day. He ate healthy food, played outside, practiced yoga, and created something special. Benny learned that self-care is an important part of being happy and healthy.
