Open & Shut them - Finger Play

1. Open: 

Hold your hands open with fingers spread apart.

2. Shut: 

Close your hands with fingers together.

3. Open and shut them: 

Repeat opening and closing your hands.

4. Give a little clap: 

Clap your hands together.

Rhyme:
(Sing to the traditional tune)

Open and shut them, open and shut them,

Give a little clap, clap, clap.

Open and shut them, open and shut them,

Put them in your lap, lap, lap.

Tips and Variations:

1. Use props: 

Use a toy or object to demonstrate opening and shutting.

2. Create a story: 

Encourage children to create their own story about opening and shutting things.
